The versatility of the burel fabric and its high strength are extremely valued features due to its multiplicity of applications, which leads it to resist traction, rupture, pressure and light exposure, supporting intensive use, without changing colour and shape, making it ideal to be applied in interior coatings, and perfect to give that touch of comfort that was missing in any decoration and interior design.
Burel Factory executes several covering solutions – wall panels, headboards, carpets, curtains, partitions – made to measure and in a custom-made way, giving them a unique identity, highlighted by a wide range of 3D Stitches, Textures and Colours. All made by hand, with pure sustainable local wool from Serra da Estrela.
100% wool, fire-resistant, with high impermeability (water-resistant), thermal and acoustic insulation, hygroscopic, anti-electrostatic, abrasion resistance, tough, flexible, natural, agro-product, doesn’t pile.
The fibre is composed of keratin which is a protein rich in sulfur, an element that is not found in any other fibre. The Burel has the next elementary composition, approximate: Carbon (C): 50%; Hydrogen (H): 7%; Oxygen (O): 21%; Nitrogen (N): 17%; Sulfur (S): 5%
The burel, being 100% wool, is an excellent acoustic insulation, which reduces sound reverberation and limits its propagation. Burel Mountain Originals’ range of acoustic wall coverings and modules combine creative and effective sound absorption solutions suitable for commercial spaces, offices, hotels, housing and more. It is also the ideal solution for organizing open space, through panels and acoustic blocks that allow you to distinguish working and quiet areas, common areas and circulation.
Composed of 100% sheep wool, burel is the perfect thermal insulation. The fabric is so condensed that it isolates from both heat and cold, which makes it the perfect material for indoor climate control, ensuring a constant temperature and a comfortable and easy maintenance environment.
Burel is an easy-care fabric. The structure of the fibre repels the dirt and in case of spillage then allows to perform its cleaning and drying in due time. We simply advise you to take a periodic vacuum to remove any accumulated dirt from the recesses and if there is any dampness, wipe it with a damp cloth or a neutral cleaning product.
